What is CNC drilling – basic definition

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) drilling is a modern machining technology that is gaining increasing popularity in the industry. It requires the use of a special machine, which is programmed to perform specific tasks. These tasks can include not only drilling, but also milling, turning and other types of material processing. The machine is equipped with CNC drills, i.e. cutting tools, designed to create holes in the machined object. CNC drills are mounted on a special spindle, which rotates at high speed.   • in the medical industry - for the production of many equipment components, such as stents, implants, skeletal bones.

CNC drilling can also be used for materials other than metal. This process is used when making holes in wood and some plastics.

Creating multiple holes of identical dimensions is important in the serial production of parts and components, which require precise fitting.
